08 May CCH suffers cyber attack (05-07-19) per Spidell Publishing, Inc.
“Wolters Kluwer has confirmed that they have discovered the installation of malware on their system. This is the reason why many of the CCH web-based systems have been taken offline, including Prosystem FX and IntelliConnect. At this point, there is limited information as to how long they expect the problems to continue. However, the company recently posted the following information on Twitter.
“An update on the situation, we can confirm we have discovered the installation of malware. By taking take a broader range of platforms and applications offline, we aimed to quickly limit the impact this malware could have had, giving us the opportunity to investigate the issue with assistance from third-party forensics consultants and work on a solution. We regret any inconvenience and that we were unable to share more information initially. We have seen no evidence that customer data was taken or that there was a breach of confidentiality of that data. Also, there is no reason to believe that our customers have been infected through our platforms and applications. Our investigation is ongoing. We want to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
